Kide Science is excited to announce a partnership with Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries, the largest childcare franchise in the United Kingdom. This will allow Kide Science lessons to be taught to 5,000 children annually across all 64 Monkey Puzzle locations.

“We’re thrilled to find a forward-thinking nursery chain in the UK that emphasizes play-based education as much as we do. Monkey Puzzle nurseries facilitate learning through play, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they can do with our lessons,” said Sari Hurme-Mehtälä, CEO of Kide Science.

In Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries, children begin preschool at the age of three, supported by educators who are qualified and trained to support their education journey to primary school.  All children’s development at the nursery is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is the framework that a child will be assessed under in their first year at school in England. This is done so by carefully weaving these areas of emphasis into a child’s play.

"Providing a hands-on learning experience that promotes critical thinking skills is a major area of focus for us, as it is for Kide Science. The action takes place in a fun imaginary land, but the learning takes place in our nurseries for real.  I love that it is a program that doesn’t underestimate children.” said Stuart Graham, the Operations Director of the Monkey Puzzle.

“Our educators value how easily accessible the platform is and how simple the equipment requirements are, meaning an enriching activity can be quickly initiated based on what the children are interested in that very day.”

Kide Science supports teachers with story-based hands-on STEAM lesson plans for 3-8 year-olds, and online training in play-based pedagogy. With holistic support, teachers can focus on working with the children to provide wondrous hands-on science experiences in a classroom, remotely or in a hybrid model.
